2015 Ethnobiology Graduate Fellowships Awarded

The Society of Ethnobiology is pleased to announce the first ever recipients of our Graduate Research Fellowships in Ethnobiology.

• The 2015 Ecological Knowledge Fellow is Maia Dedrick (University of North Carolina, Department of Anthropology) to fund her project The Use of Rejolladas in Yucatán for Agricultural Specialization, Food Preparation, and Community Ceremonies.
• The 2015 Indigenous Ethnobiologist Fellow is Blaire Topash-Caldwell (University of New Mexico, Department of Anthropology) to fund her project Anishinaabe Artisanship and Traditional Ecological Knowledge: Intersections of National Resource Management Policy and the Emerald Ash Borer in the Great Lakes.
• The 2015 Urban Ethnobiologist Fellow is Kerri Brown (Southern Methodist University, Department of Anthropology) to fund her project Changing Politics and Economics of Medicinal Plants among African Diasporic Populations in Brazil.
